The BBC in conjunction with Microsoft Live Labs
has launched
six photosynth collections including the following areas Ely Cathedral, Burghley House, Royal Cresent, Blackpool Tower Ballroom, Scottish Parliament Building, and Trafalgar Square.
The screenshot at left is the stained glass in Ely Cathedral. Don't forget you can use the wheel on your mouse to zoom in and see all the detail.
If you're not familiar with Photosynth, you can check out
this TED talk from Blaise Aguera y Arcas
, the lead behind Photosynth. We
got a chance to talk to Blaise
before CES in January, he's one of those amazing personalities where several minutes into the conversation you realize he's working with a completely different processor than the rest of us.
