There's a lot more information on what these alternative tunings mean on the Gibson site. Odds are, you've heard other tunings without knowing it. Weighs -- I looked at the stats at one point, don't think it was unusually heavy.

Laura, if you dug this, you'll love some of the stuff coming out of the NAMM show next week, which is basically like CES for musicians. Will have to send some of that your way. ;)

I really want to get one as well. I'd be curious to see how much it weighs. One thing I hate is changing strings and tuning my guitar. As for price right now they're around $2600. Check their site they have some nice videos demoing the guitar.

Glad you didn't let the CEO launch into a pitch for his TV show. Good job cracking that whip, Laura. :)

Would have liked to know the price, and maybe an explanation of what different tuning presets sound like - I thought there was only one way to tune a guitar.
