If you haven't checked out Microsoft's Virtual Earth yet, you definitely should. I swung by their offices and got a preview of it about a month ago and I was utterly impressed. In fact, I liked it so much that I headed down to San Francisco to celebrate with the team and some esteemed journalists at their launch party. While I was mixing and mingling I decided to bust out the camera and get on tape some peoples first impressions about Virtual Earth 3D. Take a look and see what other people are saying and then try it out for yourself and let me know what you think!

Now, that's neat. It makes google maps look sooo last gen. Smiley It's a really cool effect when you keep zooming in, then suddenly the buildings become full 3D. I located the Georgia Dome. Really cool, Laura.

And what about the Xbox 360 version?

With a Keyboard and 360 controller and all the power of Xbox 360 graphics powered by Intel and ATI I should think the 360 version of the app would be even more cool than the PC version (running on baseline entry level integrated graphics).

Do you need a 360 version?  You can use the Xbox 360 controller to fly around in it anyway.
Yes, we need a 360 version!  There are those of us who prefer not to deal with the complications of a PC and embrace our consoles instead.

Too few of us it seems..

Thanks to that conflict 360 will always be a second fiddle to Windows.
