To tell you the truth, I prefer to keep my location undisclosed but apparently there is a great demand for human tracking. My co-worker, Nagi Babu Punyamurthula, took it upon himself to create a solution for this need and he called it the "Where Am I Project". After having him explain his application to me, I realized how great this could be for many family and business uses- and not to mention a badass game of hide-n-seek Smiley Enjoy!

Wherever you go there you are.
Sweet project and Segment, Laura.  Let's play hide and seek sometime. Hehe.
"do you frequently lose your friends and family?" rofl!!!

This is an intriguing project. I would like to learn more about it and follow along. I did a search but wasn’t able to find any useful links.

I would appreciate it if you could provide us with the links.

This is a bit over the top I think... No matter where you are and what you do, you're potentially being watched. I agree that it's useful in some aspects, though.

This is a cool idea.  We've had a similar offering on our Virtual Earth mashup called Atlas for a couple of years now.

We have a similar Windows Mobile client... but more importantly we have an open web service API if you'd like to build your own device.
