John Woo's Stranglehold, the spiritual sequel to his 1992 Hong Kong based action epic Hard Boiled, is due to hit shelves later this month.

But for all you Inspector Tequila fans out there (like me) eager to get an early taste the demo is now available on Xbox Live Marketplace for free for all regions (except Germany).

Major Nelson has the scoop.

Seriously, one of the best demos ever. Everyone I talk to is freaking out over its awesomeness.

For some reason the concept of downloading free demos died when some demos are blocked from ones region for no apparent reason.

I'm hoping the game is worth all the hype but I'll rely on reviews and the time old method of buying it if I'm in the store and there happens to be a hottie at the counter.

Pity really because downloading product demos from XBLM was a real heavy encourager to buying the stack of coasters I have gather dust somewhere over in the shadows behind my TV.

So can the team do something you know worthwhile next like DX10 powered Psi-Ops sequel for crossplatforming between 360 and GFW?

Not that Stranglehold is a ridiculous waste of time or anything... it also cost craploads and is probably better on PS3...
