BLEWS is a Microsoft Research project that uses political blogs to categorize news stories based on how they are received in both the conservative and liberal blogosphere. Info about the stories are displayed visually, showing how many conservative and liberal blogs are linking to  a story. BLEWS also offers a "see the view from the other side" feature, which lets a user compare the different sides to a story.

This would be a great tool in this election season, but BLEWS is still under wraps as a research project only. C'mon guys, throw a "beta" label on it and let us play!

Argh. I hate 'hearing' things, but not 'seeing' things. I too hope to see it soon. As a political-minded person, it would be nice to see stuff as soon as they announce it.
