You may have heard the news about the new personalized homepages at my.live.com. If you're like me, a Live.com user, then you probably heard via an email sent to your Live ID-associated email address. The new page is available now from the easy-to-remember URL: http://my.live.com. To use the new page, just click on the "Sign In" link on the top right and sign in with your Windows Live account info.

Once you're signed in, you can begin customizing by adding content like news, the weather, an email preview gadget, and much more. You can also add new pages that appear as tabs across the top and even share those pages with friends via the "share" button. You can search from the search bar at the top of the page, or, by clicking the "search only" link on the top right, you can quickly switch back to the main Live.com search page.

OK... What is new. The same page with same features was already in www.live.com... Also, I invite you to look at www.netvibes.com which provides the same features, but much more advanced.
All I get when I go to my.live.com is a Windows Live Search field.  Perhaps for Canadian Live users the experience is somewhat different?  Wouldn't surprise me.
It doesn't seem to work with Windows Live Sign-in Assistant, whereas www.live.com did.

It just makes it less fluid to login.
I too see no difference to how it looked last time I used it.

Like lbastie I use netvibes which truely is how the personalised homepage should be done-
  • Access to numerous providers email
  • Easier to mark items as read
  • Many more advanced gadgets

This is one of the few live.com experiences that fails to impress me, MS should do a little market research, I have not seen any comparisons that favour the MS approach here.
