A new product from Century introduces a DIY device that lets you use Compact Flash cards for storage to create solid state drives between 2GB and 2TB in size. OK, the 2TB is theoretical...for now, at least. The device itself is a SATA HDD and is available now on
GeekStuff4U
for $192.67. Too much? Not even - as
Gizmodo
calculates, a pair of 32GB CF cards ($270) + $192.57 the DIY drive = a 64GB SATA SSD for about $460. That's way cheaper when you
compare it
to off-the-shelf versions. You can't get it until May 1st. Sign me up!
