Just so you know.....
Not going to make a ton of excuses, but we were singing along with a vocal track of ourselves, yes. So, I guess this could count as lip syncing??? ...... except that the people in the studio and even my friends could her our voices with the music, sorry if you couldn't. Unlike some other bands, we don't have all the effects we use in the studio with us, so we make do with having a vocal track, which is pretty standard for quite a few bands from what I hear.
Also, you are right, it is a great showcase opportunity and I believe we took it very seriously. Not sure if you are a musician yourself, but it is also quite hard to do a musical performance in a studio using only a single 3inch monitor as our only sound reinforcement. But hey, we showed up and gave it a shot.
