I like it, especially that it can crash programs more elegantly... lol 3D-ish scrolling windows are cool. 

Overall, not completely original, but very nice none the less.

Actually, I really have no problem with XP but damn does Vista look fantastic!  I can't wait to get this and finally tell all those Apple freak kids who are around me to take their OSX and stick it.  Mac users make me want to hurt people, for the most part, they are SO ANNOYING.  Holy hell, 3D!!  Oh 10 why do you tease me like this soooo.  January 2007, damn it, I want Vista now

There is no doubt that this will be a genuine improvement upon XP in many regards, but I will hold off final judgment until spending some quality hands on time with Vista.  I am really digging the new GUI as well and I guess it will be time for a new high end PC come January!  Just what I need another reason to spend money...  lol

 

Agreed, Apple fanatics are damn annoying, but I will tell you that OSX is a far more stable and dependable operating system.  As usual, Microsoft is relying on eye candy and media to push its software.  Can you say 360?

BTW...I'm not saying that Apple is better, but I've had no problems with mine.  I made the jump to Macs for work a few years back because I had nothing but problems with Windows based machines.  I still, however, game on my PC with windows.  Good times.

I´m really looking forward to this! User interface is something that I really appreciate and Vista seems to be heading in the right direction in that deparment. Graphically it looks awesome. Pitty we still have to wait so long.
