I like the thought of high tech gear looking after things as delicate as our eyeballs. The gear is just a tool for doctors, obviously, but it seems a lot safer to me to have a clean, simple ultrasound probe like the one StarFish makes without the need to cut somebody open to find out what's wrong with their vision. Maybe I'm just squeamish about my eyes, but then I've been to Victoria and I know how many beautiful things there are to see up there!

I don't fancy a bunch of Canandian doctors poking and proding my eyeballs, even if it is for my own good.  I don't fancy any doctor's proding my eyes for that matter.  Eyes are sensitive and its very uncomfortable.  While I can touch my own eyes with some difficulty, My reflexes close them anytime something other than me gets to close.

Anyway, great segment, Tina.  You seem to have become 10's official in the field medical correspondant.  You asked great questions and I always come away from these segments impressed with what you have shown us.  Starfish Product Engineering is really hands on and its nice to see this kind of research and so close to home.  I don't think there's enough R&D going on in the states.  Everything here is about money, and it's really a shame.  Great reporting, Tina.  You sure do alot of traveling for for a goddess who doesn't like to fly.

those victoria guys are pretty relaxed about the cool techno theyre inventing and working with...maybe its all the hockey an maple syrup...how come theyre so successful and so relaxed at the same time??? ive got to go to victoria and see for myself

ya I dont want anybody poking around in my eyes, but if I had to, id rather it be a Canadian doctor as they have a way better medical system

i dont feel comfortable with contact lenses so i agree.  and ijust dont feel comfortable around canadian doctors.  strange enough its for the same   reason......
