Attack on Pearl Harbor trailer released

Looks nice. I like that you get to play as both sides. And I like that it's a WW2 game that sets itself apart from the typical FPS genre. I mean honestly, how many times can you storm the beach in Normandy anyway?

True, but I can only think of two WWII shooters that did Operation Overlord during the D-Day invasion of the Normandy beaches that well...Medal of Honor Frontline and Allied Assult.

Most WWII shooters go the mainstream route of inland or airborne battles.  I think we're ready for a shooter that focuses exclusively on the events of the D-Day invasion of southern France with all the allied amphibious assualts: "Sword Beach," "Juno Beach," "Gold Beach," "Utah Beach," and everybodies favorite: "Omaha Beach".  Sure, the British clifftop invasions would also work, but I can't recall what that landing point was code named.

For as big a fan of flight simulators and dogfighting games as I am, the pacific theater of war never really interested me.  I always thought Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 2 as a lowpoint, while the first and third were fantastic, excepting maybe the third was a little overdone and complicated.

I'm hoping the fact that this is focused on Pearl Harbor will keep it interesting and entertaining enough to hold my interest.  There has has always been something about the pacific war style that I just don't care for. 

Crimson Skies on the Xbox was probably one of my favorite games and remains so.  I still think you're guilty of Heresy for trading your copy away!
