Guitar Hero II for the Xbox 360 is out!

Okay, so it's no secret whatsoever that I am a huge Guitar Hero fan. I've been playing the game for a few years now and of course I've been playing it on my Playstation 2. But scoot over exclusive console game cause there's something leaner. That made no sense at all but anyway the game is officially out on the xbox 360. Here's what it comes with:

New for Xbox 360: This version of Guitar Hero II includes the X-Plorer Guitar Controller, additional songs, and downloadable content.

Killer soundtrack: Rock out with with over 70 jaw-dropping tracks, including You Really Got Me, War Pigs, Beast and the Harlot, Crazy on You, Carry On Wayward Son, Heart-Shaped Box, Killing in the Name, Sweet Child O’ Mine, Message in a Bottle, Shout at the Devil, and Surrender.

Content downloads: With Xbox Live®, grab new songs, themes, and picture packs. Download exclusive songs and check where you rank on the Guitar Hero II leaderboard.

Multiplayer: Grab a friend and form your own rock band in Cooperative Mode. Want to see who can rule the stage? Go head-to-head with a friend in Pro Face-Off mode.

Practice mode: It's going to take some practice to sell out stadiums and have fans screaming your name.

So far it's been pretty tough to find so let us know if you've gotten your hands on one. Smiley

I never played GH before and I must say it's quite fun, correction, it's a blast! Stayed up till 3:30am playing this game. I was hoping the guitar would be wireless but no biggie I'll just buy a wireless one later.

As weird as it may sound I find the easy and medium setting harder than the hard and expert level. Reason being is that I tend to overplay the song on the slower setting. Playing the guitar in real life helps some but you really don't have much advantage over folks that don't play an instrument. I think I have more fun watching my friends rock out on the game!

I can't wait to download some new content. Great game and I highly recommend it.

Hoorah! It's finally here, but the lack of a wireless guitar is a total bummer. I'll wait until the wireless guitar pack comes out...even if it takes a few years. After all, we already have it on the PS2. Smiley

Hmmm...yes, I don't get your reference. Technically, the PS2 is leaner in content and physical size than the 360. You didn't make any sense, but you don't have to, thats one of the things I like about you. Wink

I bought it today. I've never played a GH game so I'm excited to try it out. I can play guitar in real life, but I'm pretty sure that's not gonna help in GH. We shall see :o

BTW if you get it at Circuit City you get a free 1600 point MS card.

Yeah, I'm thinking about buying the 360 version...maybe not right now, but sometime soon. I never played GH before, but I've heard so much good stuff about it (especially, from T-Dub).

I heard a rumor that the Halo theme MIGHT be a downloadable track...

What's all this i have been hearing about a possible expansion later on, apparently the guitar has a extention lead for a future device to be added, foot pedal?. LS

Oh you ain't kidding, that song gave me some prob's. It's funny when you know how play the song on a real guitar but struggle on the game.

Wait till you try the Lamb of God song (which is already hard to play in general) on Expert.

I think after Free Bird my fingers were bleeding. lol. It's funny b/c it asks you 3 times if you really want to play Free Bird.

I've heard from a swedish site that the guitarr works in Windows Vista as well. I don't know if any game supports it though.
