Laura takes us into the MS Archives which is where they house all things Microsoft, from the very beginning of the company to current products. Like a modern-day ark, two of everything are stored here in climate controlled comfort. Archivist Amy Stevenson shows us the IBM PCAT - the first computer that ran windows - the beginning of Microsoft Flight Simulator, and lots more.

Laura and I made a bet. Unfortunately I can't tell you what the bet was because that would just be wrong. Laura lost and had to dress up like a mouse for this shoot (and an old school mouse at that.)

Fantastic!  I’m reminded of the classic host challenges back in the day where Laura frequently lost.  It’s nice to know you haven’t lost your competitive edge yet, T-Dub.  You are the greatest co-hostess ever!  It was great just to hear you again in a segment – you’ve been missed.

You’ve piqued my interest…could you at least give us a hint about the bet and how it warranted Laura’s hosting a segment dressed like a giant peripheral mascot?

Excellent segment, though I was equally astonished to learn they keep a paper archive.  That occupies a lot of space…and paper only lasts so long.  I worked for a company that was going the opposite direction – scanning everything into a digital archive.  I loved some of those classic props and the old software box art.  Maybe somebody there knows where I can get a copy of MS Space Simulator – short-lived as it was.  Alas, Flight Simulator is always triumphant!  They usually develop a new version between two and three years.

Again great segment, but the music seemed a little out of place given the comic undertone.  Also, NEVER do a segment with Barney in it again!  I loathe that disgusting purple dinosaur to no end.

Nice mouse, though I liked the turkey on g4 even better.

But we all know the bunny wins.
