Our good friend and animator Ted Bracewell has kindly produced another animation for us.  This time he's back with Alien Wasps!  He also spent some time to show how he actually created the animation.  Check out the video here.  Enjoy!

Yeah, this is great.  I've watched it a few times already and love it, especially the twisted ending.  Reminds me of the Twilight Zone or perhaps the Far Side comics and shorts.  That kind of project takes a lot of time, but the finished cartoon is well worth it.  Great work, Ted.
Twilight Zone! Exactly what I was going for. I got to this point where there had to be an ending and I had no clue... "Does he dock with a ship? Does he simply fly away?" It seemed too simple and lame to have the asteroid just explode and that's it. Then, for some reason I thought of... uh... giant humanoid insects driving a pickup and speaking crazy alien speak. That's how I roll.
I was wondering just where you were going to take us halfway through this.  After the explosion...I thought...okay, what's left other than some clever rap-up that totally skews our perception of what was going on?  I was half expecting the ship to crash into an asteroid or get eaten by a giant queen wasp. Smiley
I was thinking about having him land in front of a giant RAID office building or something, but that was just hokey.
Product placement anyone?  Had you gone with him landing in front of a RAID office, you'd have made this an advertisement of a sort.  I'm glad you didn't...but some other fictional extermination service might have worked.
