What's the true indication of being in great shape? I was spending many nights just like you wondering that same question. Then I went to Pro Sports Club where they were testing athletes and members for their VO2 Max. Your VO2 Max is a great indicator of the shape you are in. Lance Armstrong is known for being a bit of a superfreak and having an incredibly high VO2 Max. I wanted to check out the technology behind this test for myself.

Dang, I really need to get in better shape. Sitting at a computer most of the day definitely wears on you after a while. I'm not sure how long I could keep up a steady sprint like that but Bob looks like he can take whatever you throw at him.

I'd hardly call that sprinting...

But if you're an MS employee at the redmond campus don't you have many running trailers available?

Exercise is very important to morale and productivity.. Smiley

"running trailers" ?

We live in an area where you can just run outside... so we have some nice trails around campus, with distances marked Smiley

Duncan, Tina and the others at 9 and 10 are free range MS employees.
Great Segment, Tina.

Bob's a seriously lucky Guy... getting a chest shave from you, not to mention just getting to hang with you at all.

I loved the fact that you teased him throughout the segment by lounging and imitating while he was being tested.  Great Stuff.

I'm actually familiar with VO2 testing.  During my deployment to Bulgaria in 2003, we had some makeshift testers at the fitness tent and I did it once or twice to see how I rated.  I don't remember how I was ranked, but it wasn't bad.  What I do recall, however, is that I enjoyed the treadmill so much that I started using it daily for the duration of my deployment.  It was a real pleasure just to watch TV and jog, especially when I was off during the night shift because no one else was there.
