Xbox to DAC

Heya all

So i have a 21" CRT (old skool) with RGB Scart but no audio out and i have an xbox360 with the advanced scart cable but no RCA attachments.

So has anyone run a 360 through a DAC to their stereo amp, how is it?  does it work well? 

i have a great pair of speakers but no way of using them with my 360.

I *think* I understand your setup... your Xbox 360 SCART adapter has an optical toslink output so you'll need to get an optical toslink to stereo RCA adapter. A quick Live Search turned up this product - http://www.hdtvsupply.com/digital-to-analog-audio-converter.html - but at $80 it might be a bit more than you were hoping to pay...

The other option is to use the cable that came with your Xbox 360 - that should have stereo RCA outputs - and get a cheap SCART adapter for your television like this one: http://www.lindy-usa.com/scart-adapter-s-video-composite-audio/35570.html
