Num artigo publicado hoje (em inglês) no New York Times, a HBO anunciou que colocará umas 400 horas de programação na Internet para seus assinantes nos Estados Unidos (29 milhões) - de graça. De acordo com o artigo, haverá um aplicativo que fará downloads dos shows e que permitirá a configuração de contas personalizadas que incorporam controle de pais. Um detalhe interessante é que esse aplicativo também permitirá um streaming da programação ao vivo no canal, no estilo Slingbox ou Web Guide. O serviço começará em duas cidades como teste e expandirá ao longo do ano.

Who doesn't love television? Whether you're a sports fanatic, reality show buff or news Junkie...there's a little part in all of us that is somewhat obsessed with television. I am one of them. Don't get me started on Grey's Anatomy and Smallville. Cause I can't get enough of McDreamy and I've just about had it with Lana. Anyway, I took a trip to San Mateo, California and stopped by the Sling Media offices to get the scoop on the Slingbox Family. And yes, they were all watching television when I arrived. :) The offices had great energy and truthfully it's probably because they are all behind a super cool product. I talked to Jeremy Toeman about all things Slingbox and the ability to take your TV with you anywhere in the world.

Here you get a chance to watch the slingbox in action as Jeremy and I go through some of the settings and functions on his computer. We chat slingplayer software, remote control commands, keyboard shortcuts and arrested development. :)
